Drumderg Joinery installs Superset Moulder

Drumderg Joinery obtains immediate results with their new SCM Superset Class HSK Moulder. The new ground breaking machine has an easy to use electronic controller, model Control 10, coupled with an SCM HSK 85 plug in tooling system. These two options, linked together on a moulder, result in the most advanced and cost effective machine of its type on the market today. SCM were the first company to use HSK technology on a moulder and have been using it on their CNC routers and machining centres for many years. This has given SCM a vast experience in this type of system and has helped make SCM the market leader. Sophisticated does not mean complicated so SCM has thought of everything on this machine. As usual, SCM has made the controller simple to understand and easy to use and it is designed for the average "hammer and nails" guy most companies have in their own workshop. Using the HSK plug in tooling system is effortless, with no spanner and no "brawn" required, just the press of a button and "hey presto" tools are changed. When a tool change is required, the controller is set to "Set-up" mode, the machine automatically opens up to its maximum height and width allowing unrestricted access to all the machining heads. It has, as standard, the SCM patented "Set-Up" quick setting up system. This enables the machine to be set in only one movement without the need to adjust front and rear pressers and feed rollers, which are simultaneously adjusted automatically. This results in the absolute minimum of manual intervention required at the setting up stage. Cutting set-up time to a minimum in this day and age is just as important as cutting the skills level required to use the machine to a minimum.
